AGENDA FOR RULES SUMMIT.pdf (13.33 KB) 2018 Rules Proposals.pdf (14.68 KB) I had prepared an Agenda for the Rules Summit attached hereto for topics of concern. The discussion lasted nearly 2 hours and we decided the 2018 rules proposals were either acceptable changes or items that definitely require a vote. The biggest issue that came up was Game Play. Playing games on time; giving a reason for not playing timely; setting forth a plan to play the game; and generally communicating with others. The 2018 Rules Proposals are from my notes . . . so I could have overlooked something. We think these require more discussion. We would like to vote prior to the Draft (or at the Super Bowl) if we have enough people.

Regarding the rules, i'm not sure this is exactly what we agreed upon relative to the safeties and reductions, but again, it's going to take more discussion.
On a side note, i'm of the opinion that if you don't show up for the rules discussion at teh Super Bowl (Phone or in person) that you don't get a vote and the majority rules for those who participated. Too many just ignore all of this which makes it tough to accomp;ish anything.
My 2 cents worth.

"QB end run limits - it’s time to either do away with this play or limit it. " Week 11 -- Lamar Jackson -- 26 carries for 119 yards against Cincinnati Week 12 -- Josh Allen -- 13 carries for 99 yards against Jax Both Marvin Lewis and Doug Marrone demand QB end run limits!

This is a game. I like the variety of outcomes With in the game even if they exceed the perceived limits of the TV spectacle called the NFL. Every year things should happen we do not expect or even like personally ... That keeps it fun for everyone. Some of us like the idea of a roster spot that can embrace a little "chaos". I would like to see some of these controversial rules given a "random utilization determination roll". Before each game a rule or rules can be given a percentile chance of forced utilization ... Completely random. This "fog of war" would eliminate the dissonance of personal bias and remedy the purely democratic decision engine by adding a random outcome denominator that essentially embraces the idea of change without the purely human bias of desire and influence... What a wonderful game engine that would be.
