The Juice is on the loose! OJ Simpson was the first running back to ever break the 2000 yards in a season threshold and SOM has graced us with a version of this card in the new format. While this card may not look like anything special at first glance, it's nearly impossible to stop as there's hardly a run on the card that gains less than 4 yards a crack. A beatdown of your opponent for sure. Combine that with the ability to take it to the house right and wrong OT and ER will leave your trying to figure out how to stop the bleeding! Enjoy some OJ with your breakfast today. OJ Simpson 73.pdf (135.45 KB)

Right? Somehow I'd bet in any kind of replay he gets more than 6 catches. That being said, The QB cards on that team are pretty rough. Joe ferguson was their starter that year and threw only 164 passes with a 44.4% completion rate and a 6.0% int rate. Dennis Shaw was the backup and he was no better completing passes at a 47.8% rate with an int rate of a whopping 8.6% in his 46 attempts.
The aggregate of all runners (Not counting QB's) on this team rushed for nearly 3,000 yards which included two fullbacks (Braxton, watkins) rushing for more tha 400 yarsd each.
Fun stuff out of 1973.
