I vote no. The out of bounds punt isn't really out of bounds any more. In the NFL the punter punts it high and short to allow players to get down the field and into the face of the receiver forcing a fair catch . The punter should have someco. control on distance. if you allow additional yards off your chart , that would work.

Since you want to change it into another chart rather than a dice roll, where do you suppose we start the base of the chart? What will the minimum and maximum yardage be on the chart? The dice roll allows for a range of 3-18 yards which is the same spread we use now except it's 10-25 yards.
On a side note, the high punt argument doesn't hold any water for two reasons. 1-The ability of our punter kicking it "high" is not even remotely factored in with the way we play now. Our punt return special teams are assigned to us by the defense we own and has nothing to do with the actual punters abilities. 2-Fair Catches are built into the returner based on their real stats already. No way to change that regardless of who your punter is or how you'd like him tokick the ball.
All that being said, i'd be good with a chart as well because at least that randomizes the distance taken off. Give me the ranges you would like to see and i'll have it put together.
