Will somebody please post the minimum and maximum position counts as well as passing attempts for us to reference when finalizing rosters?
Thanks!

Isn't the OL minimum 6? 5 starters and you could have 1 backup rated as OC/OG/OT. Also same logic for other positions.

RE Minimums: The idea is if you only had 1 backup Olineman or DLineman then you could only have 1 injury to the position in a game. The same rationale applies to other positions. Of course, this can be easily modified as we "grow" as online league.

6 is certainly an extreme example, but I think the point still applies. 7 would allow for multiple injuries. We did not have these minimums in place last year. Just looking at the first 8 teams alphabetically, 4 of them would have failed to hit the minimums.

We are still learning this computer game! We started with the idea of minimums and transformed to "make an acceptable roster." I think for skill positions you need minimums beyond "make an acceptable roster" because of the new "150% usage" rule. For other positions, it is less important.

But we did not vote on changing the minimums to anything beyond a valid computer roster. And a change like this impacts roster management significantly. I do not disagree with you, but some of the minimums listed on that pdf do not line up with what is truly required. I just went back and this is the last roster minimum rule post we had: "With 8 yes votes (John, Brian, Tony, Ryan, Mark, Pat, Pete and Rich), this rule has passed.
Each team will need to have a minimum number of active players (non-carded players don't help) at each position in order for the computer game to work properly. As Pat mentioned in his proposal, that means each team will need a minimum of the following active position players so all offensive and defensive formations are fully staffed:
This includes the defensive formations: 5-6 (2 DE's 3 DT's) 3-4 (2 ILB's) 3-3-5/4-2-5 (5 DB's) 3-2-6/4-1-6 (6 DB's)
And the Offensive formations: BB with a FB(2 FB's/BB's) 2TE 2WR(2 TE's) 3 WR(3 WR's) 4 WR (4WR's)
Special Teams 1 Kicker 1 Punter 1/2 Kick Returner (2 if your player isn't a #1 returner) 1/2 Punt Returner (2 if your player isn't a #1 returner)
Per Rich's comment above, if a team does not "have the minimum requisite players as outlined by Pat above" after the draft is complete, they would be allowed "to take a "cut" player(s) to complete" their roster. If a cut player is not available for the position(s) they need to fill, they will be able to select a free agent."

As I understand it IF a player does not have a backup then Strat will not allow him to be injured. SO if you only have 2 DE's then they can never get injured ?
The ROSTER needs to have a backup for each slot something like this.
3QBs, 2 HB, 1 FB/BB, 1 FB/BB/TE/HB, 2 TE, 4WR, 2C, 5 G/T, 6 DL, 5 LB in a 4-3 defense or 5 DL, 6 LB in a 3-4 set-up, 4CB, 3S, 1K, 1P, 2KR, 2PR

Yes and no. The game only looks for backups in "base" formations in regards to injuries. You are correct about 3DEs being required, but 4 CBs, 2 KRs, and 2 PRs are not required (most of the time). The exception being, 2 KR/PR are required if the returner is not the sole or does not have 17+ returns.

And in a 4-3 D, 4 LBs will suffice assuming the backup is a "LB". You can also have 5 DL in a 3-4 if one of the 5 is a DT/DE.

Multiple injuries-I believe non skill players who do not have a backup in place will convert to a zero during the game. That is why the game will allow for a hybrid OC/OG/OT or a hybrid DT/DE to backup all those positions and be playable. Same with one LB, S, DB etc
