How do the Chargers pick before me? They won the divison over me and I lost my first playoff game.

How do the Chargers pick before me? They won the divison over me and I lost my first playoff game. You two must have lost in the same round of the playoffs which put you in the same “lottery” category. In that grouping the chargers rolled a worse number than you giving them the higher pick.

Don't we think the draft order should be reverse from the season standings, not a lottery when teams don't have the same record?
I guess next year I can submit this rule change. :-) It's not really fair for 2 teams that lose in the same round and the team who won 3-4 games more pick in front of them. Just my 2 cents.
NFL rules
Teams that did qualify for the playoffs are assigned draft slots 21-32. The order is determined by the results of the previous year’s postseason play:
The four teams eliminated in the wild card round pick in slots 21-24 in the reverse order of their final regular season records. The four teams eliminated in the divisional round pick in slots 25-28 in the reverse order of their final regular season records. The two teams that lost in the conference championships pick in the 29th and 30th spots in the reverse order of their final regular season records. The team that lost the Super Bowl has the 31st pick in the draft. The Super Bowl champion has the 32nd and final spot in each round.
Subtract 8 from the numbers draft spot numbers and it would match our playoff structure with 12 teams making the playoffs out of 24 teams.

The "theory" is that the league does not reward "tanking." All non-playoff teams are in the "lottery" for picks 1 - 12. We do not want a team intentionally losing games to land Andrew Luck or Trevor Lawrence.
The wild card "losers" are in a lottery for spots 13 - 16. And so on . . .
Of course, the make up of the league is changing and a proposed change may be with met with enthusiasm!
Also -- the draft order within section reverses in each round. In round Two, the team with the 12th pick (Cowboys) will be picking 1st (25th overall).

This rule helps keep the entire season competitive and I have never seen a team tank in this league because of it. The same cannot be said for other leagues which do not have anti-tanking rules set in place. The NFL works the way it does because 53 players and an entire coaching staff are all competing for their jobs and future income so tanking never works. In strato 1 individual controls everything and can’t be fired so tanking is a viable and successful strategy. Even playoff teams can tank. Say you’re locked in as the division winner but can’t get a bye. Tanking your last few games suddenly makes sense to get a worse record and a “better” draft pick if you get knocked out of the playoffs.

Ok, I didn't know about the reversing of the picks in each round. Thanks guys.
