Gentleman,
I would like to make a suggestion that non carded players who missed the prior season due to injuries be exempt against the following years roster space and position limits. Most other leagues i'm part of handle it this way an d this can also help us to prevent any random player assignments needed due to a shortage of roster space.
If we agree to this, the the owner should add a section to their roster referred as injured reserve. This is for injured players only with a limit of 5, not retired who then unretired or contemplate unretiring (Brady, Sanders, Luck etc)
Please consider this an official proposal and vote accordingly. I vote yes

Like John, if proposed with a limit of IR players, I would agree to it. Not sure if that limit should be 5 or maybe 3?

Based on the amount of season ending injuries that occur in the NFL, I'm good with a limit of 5. I will amend my proposal slightly.

I would vote yes but want to confirm this is after 2022 season for 2023 and not for this year

I’d like to see what rosters benefit from this proposed rule change for 2022 as that’s my issue with this as I traded players that I may have kept or got more of a return on knowing that I could IR stash them after the season.
Our rosters are big enough why do we want to add an IR Not sure this makes sense takes away some tough choices and in the end will delude the draft by roster holdovers now being placed on IR I kept several non carded players last year and sacrificed those spots in the draft this takes more players off the board
This needs more thought

This adds players to the board by allowing a player to not take a roster spot. This is how the NFL does it as well. Players on long term IR are not counted as one of the 53/46 active players. This rule "benefits" every team in the league as I guarantee all 24 teams have NC'd players.

The rule change would be for the upcoming season.
The IR system will not effect our draft by diluting the talent pool. Plenty of 0's to go around.
Our draft is already too long which is why you see many teams quit drafting after the 10th round and trading their picks away or guys just hanging around to draft/hoard players they know will be cuts and/or extra special teamer's to use as trade bait to garner future draft picks for teams who cannot seem to keep track of filling the necessary roster requirements.

If this passed, I think you should be required to cut to 53 prior to the upcoming draft. 5 spots x 24 teams is a lot of potential talent taken out of the draft pool.
