The tenacious Texans D was at it again -- forcing turnovers, pass breakups, and game ending injuries (Tyler Lockett, TY Hilton). The Jets D forced the Texans to kick some FGs early which let the Jets hang around. The Jets took the lead at the beginning of the 4th quarter 21 - 16 but Lamar Jackson countered with a long pass right completion to Dan Arnold to set up a short TD pass to Arnold. The 2 pt conversion try failed and the Texans led 22 - 21. The Jets methodically marched down field (needing a 4th and 1 conversion near midfield) to set up a chip shot FG. The Texans got the ball with just over 4:00 remaining but Adrian Amos intercepted a long pass to let the Jets run out the clock. Great game, Pat, as always. Another fantastic season in the books. The Jets feel lucky to advance to play the Panthers in the Conference Championship. s3.amazonaws.com/games.desktop-mobile.all.reportwriter/502513.html

Highlights from previous Jets Texans playoff games:
July 5, 2005
Jets 27 at Texans 24
A classic matchup. An irresistible force. An immovable object. It was a tale of two games. The first half the penalty plagued Jets yielded 14 points but forced numerous punts. Shane Lechler pinned the Jets inside the 10 four times. Terry Glenn scored on a 53 yard pass from Manning. It was 14 – 7 at the half. Peyton Manning threw 2 Interceptions in the first half and two interceptions in the second half.
The Texans played the game in a 4 wide set. It posed problems. The Jets eventually countered by going to a 3-4 nickel with 2 inside linebackers. This move caused the Texans problems. Many times the flats or look-ins were covered by two men. It was a key to the victory.
The game was tied on a Manning to Wayne pass in the 2d quarter. The Jets went up by 6 in the 4th quarter after two Morten Anderson field goals. With 3:15 remaining in the game, LaDaninan Tomlinson broke off a 53 yard run for a score to give the Texans the lead 21—20. A penalty on the kickoff return placed the ball at the Jets 42. A few completions followed by a penalty put the Jets in field goal range. Terry Glenn took a look-in pass (no men in zone snake eyes) 22 yards for the score.

CONFERENCE SEMI-FINALS
JETS 20 v. Texans 3
Greg Hardy (2 sacks, 1 strip sack fumble recovery returned for a TD) led the defense effort that limited the Texans to less than 100 yards of offense. Aaron Rodgers consistently converted 3rd and longs to move the chains. Chris Polk controlled the clock 23 – 161. The Oilers are up next.
