The way I understand our playoff seeding rule is as follows.
The first round is done by best record in each division and the top two records get a bye.
The second round is apparently reseeded by record regardless of a team winning a division and having a bye.
In our current AFC playoffs the Texans are the #2 seed with a bye, yet if the Jets beat the Titans the Texans would have to go on the road (even though they're the #2 seed and had a bye) and play the Jets(who would be the home team). So basically the #2 seed has to go on the road to play the #4 seed
I propose that starting this season(there have been no second round games played yet)our league follow the NFL example and seeding remains intact through out each round of the playoffs except for the Superbowl (neutral field). If people are not willing to change it for this season then I propose it starting in 2022-2023
I vote yes

The 1 and 2 seeds are still the 1 and 2 seeds and have home games. What we do is reward the 1 seed by allowing the 1 seed to play the Wild Card Winning team remaining team with the worst record.

Currently the 1 and 2 seeds have home games in the divisional round regardless of records. Reseeding occurs only among wild card winners in the divisional round. Home game for the conference championship is decided by record with the first tiebreaker being “did you win your division?” Winning your division guarantees your first game will be at home whether wild card or divisional round.
I vote no to Pat’s proposal.

I just assumed we followed the NFL's format. Is this not the case? If not, why not?

I'm good with keeping playoff seeding as we have been doing it, no change
