A 51-yd interception return for a TD followed by a fumbled kickoff return and a subsequent 15-yd TD pass from C.Palmer to K.Juszczyk completely changed the complexion of this game in the 4th quarter. It turned a 10-6 Titan deficit into a 20-10 Titan lead over the Jags in 3 plays. The Jags responded well to this 1-2 body blow by scoring a TD on a 1-yd run by J.Charles on their next possession to make it 20-17 with 7:15 left in the 4th quarter. The Titans offense went 3 and out on their next drive, but the defense forced an incompletion from A.Dalton on 4th and 5 just inside Titan territory with less than 3 minutes left. K.Juszczyk caught a 5-yd pass on 3rd and 4 with 2 minutes left in the game to seal the shaky Titan victory.
The Jags outgained the Titans by 133 yards, had 47 fewer penalty yards, but had 2 more turnovers, which ultimately cost them the game.
The Titans will face the winner of the Viking-Jet matchup in the AFC Championship game.
