This came up on a call with another owner this morning and he was unaware so I wanted to share with the league as it may affect your roster decisions.
The computer game requires two kick and punt returners for your depth chart. OFM rules only require one of each if certain conditions are met (for a KR he must be a #1 and the sole KR for the team and for PR he must be a #1). The league owner I was speaking to thought he would have to retain two eligible players at KR and PR to comply with the computer game. This is incorrect. The computer will assign a random player to be the backup KR and PR regardless of whether that player has a KR/PR card.
If you meet the OFM rules for KR and PR, that will suffice. This happened with my Chiefs team last year. Jamal Agnew was the sole player rated to play KR and PR on my team. Absolutely no one else on my roster had a KR/PR rating. The game assigned a random player to be my #2 KR and a different player to be my #2 PR. Anyone can verify this by opening the league from last year and viewing my depth chart and attached are my KR stats from last year where you can see that Darren Waller and DeVante Parker returned a kickoff.
The important part is to ensure you meet OFM rules regarding returners. I do not know what "card" the game looked at for those two kickoff returns, but I operated under the assumption that it was a bad one and given the results of those two returns, it appears my assumption is correct (granted it is a small sample size).
