Something that has been an issue in the past but never addressed is people who abstain from a vote. I propose that if someone chooses not vote on an issue, their vote is “removed” from the pool. What I mean is if there are 14 owners, the majority is 8 but if someone chooses not to vote, the voting pool is 13 and 7 becomes the majority.

I often “abstain” from voting. That is a “no” vote. It is easier than being harassed about giving reasons for my opinion which I don’t always want to explain in an extended back and forth, sometimes insulting exchange. If it’s really a good idea, talk to people. Get their votes. If you can’t convince half the league then the league doesn’t want it.

I understand where you're coming from, but having thoughtful discussion matters. If the answer is go get 8 votes offline and present it here to immediately be passed without even having a discussion on the topic, so be it. I think that is a dangerous path.

Better would be to put the idea out there first And then lobby for votes.
