Titans 45 Oilers 31
Close game was tied at 7, 14, 17, 24 and 31 before the Titans scored the last 14 points to win the game.
The game was not a defensive masterpiece as both teams combined for more than 900 yards.
Injuries were certainly a factor as Smith-Schuster, Carson and Hooper were all injured for the Oilers.
In the first half, Adoree' Jackson fumbled a punt deep in Titan territory which led to a Oiler touchdown.
In the second half, the Oilers returned the favor in what was probably the key play of the game. The Titans had just tied the game at 24 at the end of the 3rd quarter. The first play of the 4th quarter saw Darius Jennings returning the ensuing kickoff from deep in his own end zone only to fumble the ball away at his own 7. Two plays later the Titans took the lead 31-24 and although the Oilers were able to tie the game at 31, they had lost their advantage. The Titans were able to answer the Oiler's tying touchdown with one of their own and after the Oilers lost the ball on downs deep in their own zone, the Titans were able to put the game away with a pass to Amari Cooper to make the final 45-31.
The Titans will be going to the Meadowlands to meet up with the Jets for the AFC Championship.
