Is anybody interested in a league where we play the best stock teams from the past? Best Teams of the 60's; 70's; 80's; 90's. I am not sure how many Miami or Pittsburgh teams from the 70's to let into a decade of the 70's, but I have always been interested in doing something like this. What team is the best of each decade? I know that Brian and Pat have recently played teams from the past, so I thought I would throw it out. Computer games only.
12 team league 6 teams from AFC and 6 from NFC Two conferences (1 or 2 teams per coach) 15 Game Season (2 games against 5 teams from your conference; 1 game against the 5 teams from the other conference (not your other team) 3 playoff teams in each conference--1st place team gets a first round bye.
Anybody have any other thoughts on this?
Off the top of my head: 1972, 1973 Miami 1973, 1974, 1975 Minnesota 1977 Dallas 1975, 1978 Pittsburgh 1979 San Diego 1976 Oakland 1977 Denver
1981, 1988 Cincinnati 1988 Minnesota 1985 Chicago 1986 NY Giants 1984, 1989 San Francisco 1980 San Diego 1984 Miami 1982, 1983 Washington 1980 Oakland 1980 Philadelphia
1990, 1991, 1992 Buffalo 1991 Washington 1992, 1993 Dallas 1998 Minnesota 1998 Atlanta 1996 Green Bay 1997, 1998 Denver 1992, 1993, 1994 San Francisco 1999 St.Louis

I'd likely play in this. Haven't thought of any teams at the moment but i'd try to limit only one team per city from a particular decade. You may ot get all the very best teams, but they'll still be no dogs. Let's see if this get's some steam.

I love this idea and my thoughts are in. Hopefully we can get six coaches to take one team from each conference. Rankings in parenthesis per NFL.Com all time 100 teams gives a great variety of the four decades. If we get a 7th and so on we can add a team in each conference as long as we can make a proper schedule.
NFC 1985 Chicago Bears (2) 1984 San Francisco 49ers (4) 1992 Dallas Cowboys (6) 1962 Green Bay Packers (9) 1999 St. Louis Rams (11) 1986 New York Giants (12)
NFC-Additional Teams 1991 Washington Redskins (15) 1998 Minnesota Vikings (38) 1960 Philadelphia Eagles (52)
AFC 1972 Miami Dolphins (1) 1978 Pittsburgh Steelers (3) 1976 Oakland Raiders (8) 1998 Denver Broncos (14) 1968 New York Jets (24) 1969 Kansas City Chiefs (27)
AFC-Additional Teams 1990 Buffalo Bills (35) 1964 Cleveland Browns (41) 1968 Baltimore Colts (44) 1999 Tennessee Titans (91) 1961 Houston Oilers (100)

Right now, unfortunately, it is just you and I talking. Sounds like Ryan might be interested. Do you think Pat might be interested?

I’m mildly interested. I’m not familiar with any 60s teams really and only a few in the 70s. 80s and on I’m good with...you can count me if there is enough interest from others

How do you delete the league? Go into league manager and click on the league you want to delete then under the league tab click on delete league. Also..Yes, I would be interested in any sort of football league/tournament.

Thanks Pat. After not playing the computer game for several years, I am a little rusty. But I think I got it. Can you double check if you received my updated formations from earlier this afternoon (roughly 4 PM). I am not sure if you can see it, but if you can I would be curious if you received them.

Thanks to Brian, Pat, Pete and Ryan for their interest. That gives us potentially 10 teams for our best of all-time or best of the decades stock team league. Is anybody else interested? You don't have to coach 2 teams, although that would be preferred.

We should also open it up to the 21st century for Ryan's benefit. We could include the 2007 New England Patriots....
