I would love to revisit the proposal that got shot down in Rich’s living room pre-Covid… Let’s try this proposal to be effective immediately:
League members have 14 days to vote yes or no (on the forum) on a rule proposal. If they do not vote within the given time period, they are considered to have abstained and the majority required to pass a vote is adjusted accordingly. A minimum of half the league managers plus 1 must vote in this timeframe to avoid someone proposing something only 3 people see.
This originally did not pass because some felt voting in the minority made them a target. So let’s make it a point to not question votes that we disagree with.

I'm on board with any reasonable deadline to vote. Being left unsettled in perpetuity is just not a good practice.

4 of these 5 rules have impacts on trading and our rules currently require 8 actual votes one way or another to make a decision...

Say 3 people do not vote within the timeframe, their votes are "removed" from the pool thus reducing the voting population from 14 to 11 (and reducing the majority required from 8 to 6). |

No---All league members should be required to vote. If they choose to abstain, that is their vote and it should not be counted as a no vote. As of right now, abstaining is considered a vote against or a "No" vote against a proposal. If you want an abstention to not count towards either side of a proposal, then you would want to vote "yes" for this proposal. While I agree that every league member should vote, it wont always happen. Just look at what is going on now. I don't think/want lack of participation to hold up league advancement. |

I feel like we should still require at least 80% of league to vote by deadline. If we got to a point where only 7 people voted, it would only take 4 yes's
I do acknowledge the problem though
