1) Punt Returns-----"Hang Time" is the crucial piece to punt returns. Also if the punter consistently "out kicks" his coverage. Not that punting is the most important topic in our league, but our current method is inaccurate. High Gross/Poor Net Yardage Punters are not properly penalized.
2) I would be fine with having just 1 overall draft, but I am not in favor of breaking up the defense, penalty card and return defense card into smaller pieces. I can't imagine a scenario where anyone would want to spend time scouting the punt and kick return defenses.

I'm not sure there really much scouting on any of the smaller items. The preview pretty much ranks them for you complete with +/- for penalties and return averages for the return teams. But if need be, i'll take a baby step. one draft that incorporates the defenses as well.
BTW-You're absolutely correct about the punting. We should just use the SOM method. It's too easy to calculate with a high percenatge within a couple of yards where you want the ball to land/go out of bounds.

Yes, punt coverage should be linked to the punter. But, what happens when you are using the "generic" punter. That persob is Bill Belichick and every coach in the history of the NFL with a decent ST coach would like a word with you... punt coverage is linked to the 10 guys covering the punt...............................................

And yet we still continue to disregard the talk about the original topic......Penalty Cards

I think they should stay with the defensive cards. Or, if you want to make life difficult we could draft penalty cards too. JK :-)
